Deputy president William Ruto voices concerns about adjustments in security

Following recent adjustments to his protection details, the Office of Deputy President William Ruto expressed reservations for his personal security. The office of the DP has said malice is behind the action in a late letter to Police Inspector General Hillary Mutyambai. Only one day after his safety details were lowered, DP Ruto didn't leave his Karen mansion all Friday.

The DP said that "Is it possible that suspects in the AP uniform were stationed with orders at the residence to enable diabolical arrangements against the deputy President?" The letter signed by Amb Ken Osinde, his Chief of Staff, charges him.

On Friday it turned out that certain drivers assigned to the DP were transferred by the National Police Service. Furthermore, the Kenya Prison Service reminded some of its officers of the safety details of Dr Ruto.

Police Speaker Bruno Shioso did not answer the nation africa's questions on the latest press time changes.

However, on Friday the latest development was verified by Dr Ruto's spokesperson, Emmanuel Taalam.

Although the degree of the decrease to security is yet unknown, it was not immediately evident whether any further adjustments will occur.

Prior to Thursday, Dr Ruto had more than 70 general service commandos, dozens of personal guards, drivers from the Kenya Prison Service and AP officers, assigned to defend their official and private property.
